PERFORMANCE STYLES

Tap Icon

TAP

make music with your feet

Tap is characterized by using Tap shoes to create a beat of their own when struck against the floor. Our upbeat Tap pieces are music-driven and designed to challenge and inspire our students. By incorporating several styles of Tap techniques including Hoofing, Classical, Broadway, and Rhythm Tap into our routines, our Tap dancers are well versed in every aspect of the art.

Jazz Icon

JAZZ

style meets skill

By definition, Jazz dance is a form of dance that combines both African and European dance styles; the high-energy style has a liveliness that sets it apart from more traditional forms of dance. Our Jazz pieces combine classic techniques with commercial dance style to create a well-rounded and engaging performance!

Hip Hop Icon

HIP HOP

from street to studio

Hip Hop dance is an umbrella term for a street dance form that evolved from Hip Hop music and culture. In our Hip Hop pieces, dancers will execute the basic techniques of the following sub-styles of Hip Hop: Break Dancing, Popping and Locking, and House. Dancers have fun performing this upbeat, diverse, and popular style of dance!

Acrobatics Icon

ACROBATICS

more than flips and tricks

We are proud to be an Acrobatics Arts affiliated studio! Our three levels (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced) are divided by ability. In addition to cardio, which is done at the beginning of every class, each Acro rehearsal includes stretching, strengthening, balancing, limbering, and tumbling.

Musical Theater Icon

MUSICAL THEATER

that’s showbiz

Musical Theater dancing is rooted in the diverse history of Broadway musicals. Students in our Musical Theater pieces will incorporate acting and character work into an entertaining choreographed routine while learning the background of past and present Broadway shows in their rehearsals.

Contemporary Icon

CONTEMPORARY

dance your heart out

Contemporary dance includes a fusion of Ballet and Modern techniques. Focusing on the contract and release of the body and the unpredictable changes in rhythm, speed, and direction, Contemporary dancers express emotion through stylized movement and breath.
